APEC monthly meeting

APEC's next monthly meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Monday, August 22nd and will be held at the Washington County Library's meeting room (Oak Hill and Valley Streets). The program will be a discussion: "Next Steps: To Get Rid of Nuclear Weapons and To Stop the Oak Ridge Nuclear Boondoggle".

- For the last month, APEC has conducted a coordinated campaign to raise awareness about the nuclear weapons issue: visits to Congressional offices, letters to the editor, a demonstration in Abingdon, travel to the Oak Ridge Hiroshima dimonstration, and a full page ad in the Bristol paper. Please plan to attend and help us develop ways to keep this campaign alive. -

The discussion will be followed by APEC's Board business meeting - all are welcome to attend the board meeting also.
